I live in a city with many Somalis as well, yet I've never had an cadaan guess that I was Somali(And I have a very Somali face + wear a Hijab)
I guess it's because we're sorta segregated from them, and they rarely get to speak to any
The Danish government is rightwing and is definetly not on the same level as Sweden when it comes to immigration and refugees. all i know is that the alt right here always use sweden as an example for what norway will be like if immigration doesn't end

I'm personally for forced assimilation. I was born and raised in Canada and live in a cultural level as a Canadian citizen. I'm proud of my Somali roots and my deen, but when you're in a country that houses you, you ought to be more respectful about the customs of said country. I'm not saying be a Christian and drink, but I am saying, don't let your views or your parents views, cloud your social judgement on how to behave with other people. Doing this will only derail you in life.
Think about it this way: if your country is in shambles, because of a war (and may Allah bless those effected, and bring peace to these countries), then the country you choose to live in was in your mind, ideal. So why bring in your cultural views to force a change in the country you thought was great in the first place? How does that make sense? I never understood this.

Sweden is the most tolerant of them all, while Denmark is the most conservative. Norway sits in-between the two. They're all getting very xenophobic though, and far-right talking points that used to be considered taboo before have become more and more mainstream in the past years.

No Sweden, Norway and Denmark are not the same Sweden is way more liberal. They are letting in Afghanistan refugees that are raping young girls and boys,
Sweden is at its worst currently but its still better than most western countries. They need to stop the mass immigration and send back the criminals to their homeland.

There's not many Afghans in Denmark, but the ones that are here are very hard working and career minded people. 2. Generation Afghans have a higher amount of people attending uni or working than Danes.
Then why are Denmark so extreme on immigrants?

The real answer is religion. They really do not like Islam and think it's incompatible with their way of life, so they feel threatened by Muslim immigrants.
I don't think that Sweden is in worse state than the U.K. or even Denmark and Norway but the reason that we're the ones used as an example in the media is the recent rise in gang violence. We've had an influx of Baltic weapons and drugs and when you mix that with frustrated kids who live in segregated neighborhoods with social economic issues and failed schools it makes the perfect cocktail for the desasters we see today. There are a lot more to it than just Baltic weapons and failed schools, there's also the fact that the Swedish welfare system has taken a torn and that has made a breeding ground for the rise of alt right political groups. It's pretty complex issue and it's wide spread over Europe as a whole.
