Probably what Siad Barre did but instead of invading into galbeed I would just develop the country. Somalia has a lot of oil reserves we could have been a prosperous petrol state. I would have cut ties with the soviet union. They were destine to fall and after their fall USA became a unipolar power so it would be wise to be on good terms with them. I even would have made a democratic government with clan party for Representatives in Parliaments. However, there would still be a 1m1v for president. .
Nah I change my mind too much money to trust in the hands of a democratic system there needs to be a royal family that controls it like Saudi.
For 1960, I would not make mogadishu the capital. That was a massive mistake. I would assassinate Siad barre and kill everyone that promotes qabyaalad and instill an islamic government. It would be a regime based on fear like Saudi arabia. I would build women only schools, universities, hospitals plus all women would get land in their name. I would make water supply available, build roads, and utilise fertile lands in south somalia so no one dies of famines. Vote for me

I would make Hargeisa the Political Capital and Mogadishu the cultural capital. a regime based on fear is what Somalis need honestly .
Hargeisa is good but Id build a city out of scratch just to be impartial. all somalis would feel welcome and wouldnt feel like their secondary citizens. Mogadishu is controlled by one clan i wont say the name and they call everyone ‘marti’

Youre asking the wrong question. You should be asking why arent more women land owners?Women represent half of the society, they are more valuable and not disposable like men are. Its an incentive to empower women and make them more self reliant. Future is female
