don't be fooled by the scenery, I have been to sheikh and the place feels like a portal to hell. sheikh and Berbera are inhabitable IMO

What are you talking about? Sheikh is the coolest place in Somaliland.

I was thinking Sheikh in the summer and Berbera in the winter.

we went to sheikh mid-July and I couldn't get out of the car. maybe I'm used to the London cold but the place was far from cool. Berbera is another story.

Hargeisa though the weather is just perfect.

You probably been to Ceel Sheikh.

Sheikh is cooler than Hargeisa. It doesn't usually go above 20C

Eastern part is Somali and it's part of DDSI. It's the bit that's south of Harar that is contested by Somalis and Oromo.
