What do you mean when you say childhood isn't that infanthood books?

I was captivated by this book when I was a kid and I don't know why. Dumb ending however. I guess I liked the concept it was unique enough compared to the general setting of the novels I read at the time.

it should be overly familiar to most people from the UK it was everywhere in primary school it captivated me because of the different shiny colours on the fish

I for some reason i started reading that series from the hero's of Olympus. With the roman squad. Going back to read the first series of books was kind of jarring. I dislike percy...

I was obsessed with Donald duck comics until I turned 16 and gradually stopped. Here in Finland and rest of Europe, there is a donald duck comic book with 300-400 pages that is released every month. They are in numerical order. I read from the first one to at least 450. Never mind the other comics and books I read. I must have read thousands of pages about donald duck, mickey mouse, goofy and the rest.

The famous five series was one of my favourites and in particular the third book in the long series captivated 11 year old me. I must have read the book at least a hundred time before the age of 15.


I also finished the Percy Jackson series including the heroes of olympus. Killer series, I hope the disney live adaptation series does it justice.


Overall, I was a bookworm growing up. I could read for hours, even school books could keep me engaged. I surfed wikipedia for hours, especially the historical content.

Unfortunately my attention span has been greatly reduced by my tellpohone.

Read Harry Potter through all of them. When I was young, was only time i actually picked up a book and read. Wish I could forget it to read and enjoy again.

I actually didn't like the Harry Potter books I didn't get what all the fuss was about same with the lord of the ring books they where also overrated but song of ice and fire was good aswell as dune.

Now that I think about it I shouldn't have been reading those books in year 6 but on the other hand they helped a lot.

Was that the werewolf mutant type devil series or the vampire stuff? I remember liking the werewolf series but found the vampire stuff mediocre. But the werewolf thing was going out of hand with all the stuff that was going on with that series.
