What Was Siad Barre's Communism in Practice?

Okay, to my understanding.... Siad Barre tried to mix Islam and Communism?

What did this mean in practice? How was it actually put into practice?

Did one become overpowering of the other or were the two successfully merged? Did his Communism cause him to go against Islam?

I have no particular opinion, I am genuinely curious.

Communism works for a while until it collapses and the economy too. You can never be communist state. If so, you must completely ban religion, ALL businesses under governmental control, and fair pay and equality for the population including no hierarchy and free will. No country on earth has achieved this hence barre was only an islamic socialist claiming to be marxist

I get that, but Somalia was never really communist. Also, Barre had no choice but to kiss Russian ass, they gave him the weapons US refused to. Most of the few tanks and planes we have came from the Soviets. Sometimes you have to fake it to make it.
