Come home to an empty apartment and buy cheap goods on amazon to fill the void and then numb yourself with drugs/alcohol on the weekend. Rinse and repeat until you die in some nursing home rife with elder abuse lol

It depends though, the West is kind of diverse in sub-cultures, there are areas in the West where there is a sense of community.
