Somalia is tolerable for a maximum of two weeks (that's how long I survived)!

I want to learn my culture and language better
Ive never been to somalia and im happy that i finally can do this inshallah

I also would love to go to Mogadishu too, but i dont feel good about it..maybe another year

But im very excited already, i dont like these western lifestyle that much so..think ill be fine

Somalia is boring, nothing to do but be accompanied by boring uncles becuase as a woman your not safe to walk anywhere on your own, there is no night life unless you want to visit markets where you hear screaming kids everywhere. I was glad to leave after two weeks couldn't take it anymore. The heat was enough to make me want to escape, perverts everywhere as if they have never seen a girl in a dress before. Worst nightmare to be there, to top it all off I got food poisoning as well great !!!

Im planning to buying a lot of stuff for children here and taking m with me and taking my old playstations etc

But im not sure yet if its handy, maybe there are cheaper children toys in somalia than here..

Don't waste your luggage space, over there they practically got almost everything.

No thank you I would break their legs if they tried to touch me !!! I stayed at home a lot due to the heat, got bored after three days off seeing jiilbaabs and rocky dirty roads everywhere, goats roaming free shitting everwhere I got disappointed rather quickly. Here I thought a great night life, freedom to walk everywhere nope :/

Half of the time they will sexually harass you, the other half they will call you because you're not covered to their liking
But mostly they'll stare at you, wherever you go, whatever you may be doing and however long you've done the same thing because you are diaspora.

But go and let us know how it turns out for you. Maybe it will be different, but I am 99% sure you'll be DESPERATE to return after the first month.
