Japan went from this when clannism was strongly rooted in their culture.
To this in the early 20th century when they went from savages and tribalist to the STRONGEST leading power in the entire Asian continent.
Then today in modern Japan where tribalism no longer exist and people have embraced nationalism. Now people are united as ONE.
The Somalis shared a lot of things in common with Japanese in the past. They were both tribal and were only loyal to their clan or sub clans. They both fought other tribes over land, resources and dominance for centuries.
Meanwhile in Somalia, in 2017, they still have the tribal mentality and continue to fight over their clan territories, resources and view other tribes as some sort of eternal enemies.
What stopped Somalia from doing what the Japanese did? Couldn't they abolish tribalism like Japan?
