What other natural resources do the Somali inhabited regions have?

The document says three locations and Allio Ghelle in Bur Massif. Depends where that place is at tbh. I have no idea where it is.
@Barkhadle1520 it is apparently located West of Mogadishu.

@Afar indhood where is Buur Massif? It apparently has $3 billion USD worth of Uranium and it is located West of Mogadishu.

Bur Massif is a Murusade village outside Dayniile in Lower Shabelle.
Bur Massif in the study refers to geological massif, not a village.
  • Bur Massif (Bur Masif) = Precambrian geological massif west of Mogadishu, in the Hiiraan–Bay–Middle Shabelle upland area.
  • Made of ancient basement rock and valuable mineral resources.

Uranium in Mudug, but that actually requires smarts so.. 🤷🏾‍♂️
When there is a competent govt they will extract the sepolite remains, the uranium/platinum and even potential gold. The region has the potential to take somalia out of poverty. In central Somalia we have reserves of Gold, Uranium, Sepiolite, Salt and Ceramics. Adjacent to our settlements here are offshore coastal oil fields. According to this study we were trading these resources since the time of Ajuran.

^this pic here are salt lithium dunes in ceelbuur district and other parts of galmudug

There is also a swathe of these exact minerals and resources in our southern areas alongside our agriculture and offshore oil and solar power.

The quantity and quality of our industries has the potential to take Somalia out of poverty. Elon Mask will be an El Bur customer for electric batteries and hydrocarbon biofuel.
Uranium mining needs strip mining and really hazardous to the environment

It’s not about having it it’s about how willing are you to degrade your environment for future generations

If you’re told you got potential for uranium it covertly means you’re worthless and expendable

Only mining that really lucrative for beginners is coal, you’ll make money immediately and constantly

iron and copper are next most valuable and in demand

Gold a silver aren’t lucrative unless they’re a byproduct of copper mining

mining is rafaad on many levels

Also things like rare earth metals, tea ,coffee the buyers are so few you’ll constantly get low balled

coal is a steady commodity that has a competitive world demand and global south economies will probably demand it for a long time so export won’t be a problem or you can just burn it yourself for electricity

Coal is cheaper but has more volume , being one of the most traded and consumed products by sheer quantitative volume

like oil it’s constantly burned and being consumed for electricity/energy

Same reason gasoline is lucrative

Also when you hit a coal deposit it’s usually consistent you’ll be mining for a while

Uranium is going to be extremely big soon. Somalis can not only power the entire peninsula with solar panels alone (and still have some left over), in the distant future, we can build nuclear power plants. Nuclear energy is extremely efficient and long lasting. Search up nuclear powered submarines and you'll see why

We have massive lithium deposits that Taiwan has taken over, I've personally seen rare earth's like rubidium that China just banned the export of and directly lead to isreals iron dome and arrow missiles systems to fail and f35 production halted.

If there are large deposits somaliland will be f&&&ked .
These minerals are worth killing, the entire west is so desperate if pushed enough they will colonize us because their very existence depends on it.

As for uranium I've been dabbling in small scale miming for a couple of years and my production is halted and I have to move to different sites and start again because nearly every mine we start gets contaminated with uranium.
Uranium is all over the golis range from borame to badhan in Sanaag.
And according to soviet surveys in the mid 70s, Mudug alone has larger uranium reserves than Niger and mali and is close to Congo and southafrican reserves in size
