There was also a Somali ruler in the Maldives named Abd al-Aziz of Mogadishu. As for Southern Arabia we did conquer Aden and settled there for a while.

There wasn’t much to conquer around us due to geographical restraints and lack of drive due it not being worth it. The only place I can think of where Somalis actively tried conquering is the Horn, everything else just seemed like circumstance tbh. We are mostly a peaceful merchant trading nation kinda thing but I prefer that it’s more interesting.
