Grow up, its not a matter of "taking land". Puntland control majority of Galkcayo, 3 of the 4 districts. Thats sufficient for us.

Withdraw completely from FRG or Somalia? I am a huge fan of complete autonomy, but not secession. However, secession guarantees full autonomy. I think dealing with FRG costs too much money, energy and time. It's holding us back. Every landmark we've achieved was done without the SFG, so I don't understand their added value.

The previous speaker was pro secession, so this sentiment is growing. It's just a matter of time before someone publically campaigns for it.

Because I don't believe Somalia belongs to the south, and I want PL to have a close relationship with oher federal states such as JL and southwest or even Hirshabelle. Secession would kill any potential collaboration.

The same with Puntland who got the signature for the Garowe Airport and Badhan University's Kuwait funded repayable loan from the FRS precisely Saacid Shirdoon. They always have to hussle and Puntland government at the time had to make sure that it had the consent and in time.

But these are not the issues as Somaliland themselves get consent from the FRG otherwise this projects would not get off the ground.

I am confused at the naivety of the contributors who seem not to know on what foundation the state is build on.

Let say that The previous administration had hawyie president and mistreated PL. but the current administration is led by Darood president and he is fair man. So, what is your excuse for sabotaging this new administration? Sore loser syndrome!!!

SL is not ideal state that anyone can look up to it. You saw the roads of hargeisa, tarbiih, poverty and clans that rejected joining them. They are in deep mass themselves. They have security.

Nobody is sabotaging the current administration, because he is Darood they will probably show him some kind of respect. Going the secession route will never happen as most Puntlanders are nationalists and would probably never dream of leaving Somalia. Also, many Puntlanders have family in the south. There just needs to be talks about this instead of jumping the gun.
