Qabiilism is insincere in some ways, in my humble opinion. Sure, maybe your tol will “take care” of you when some legal shit or local beef takes place but, day to day, there’s a lot of truth to the old adage:
“Me and my country against the world, me and my tribe against my country, me and my clan against my tribe, me and my family against my clan, me and my brother against my family, and me against my brother.”
It’s not talked about enough how much people compete within their own reer and actively sabotage each other because every chap wants to be the “big man” of his family, clan or greater tribe.
As one of my Eedos aptly warned me when I wanted to go back home to the northeast for business, “You will have more luck with people from other qabiils sometimes. Your greatest cadows when soaring high will be your own kin.”
