In the past I believe if there was a single power that dominated the horn it could’ve worked since we coulda united against crusader opps. We could’ve assimilated with the oromos, afars habeshas and since our languages are closely related a public education system which taught via a single language would’ve destroyed any secessionist movements. Now nationalism has destroyed any desire for Muslims to unite in the horn. Too much pride, ego and care over futile trivial things. I used to agonise at what could’ve been but now I have hope for what’s to come no matter how bad current circumstances are it could’ve always been worse ,we can always come back stronger. We’ve occupied our lands for thousands of years and fought stronger enemies in worse situations. What power can defeat us now that can succeed where the others have failed. None. British French Italian tried to subvert our culture and convert us. Failed. Us tried to invade. Their tier 1 troops, eliminated. The situation now is terrible but I have hope in our stubborn defiant nature
