it got destroyed during the civil war when Gadabuursi, Cisse, and Isaaq played battle royal in Awdal. this is what it used to look like before the late 80's

We have to keep the two Qiblas tho, thats what makes this masjid specialWe should try to reconstruct it and modernise it.
i would like it to stay the same. there's a million other mosques to go to if you want that modern look, i prefer it to look how it is now, ancient. We should try to reconstruct it and modernize it.
What two qiblas? I thought there was only one.We have to keep the two Qiblas tho, thats what makes this masjid special
This Masjid has two Qiblas, one towards Jerusalem(Original) and another towards Makkah(added after the Hijra of the Prophet pbuh)What two qiblas? I thought there was only one.

one faces Jerusalem and the other Makkah. thats why its called "Laboqilba" in Somali and "Masjid Al Qiblatayn" in Arabic. The mosque was constructed sometime before the changing of the Qibla direction to Makkah in 623 ad.What two qiblas? I thought there was only one.

berbera is also very ancient, it dates back to the 1st century ad along with saylac. It should be maintained properly just like the tomb in maydh. I heard that the mayor's family looks after the tomb of Isaaq. Saylac, bulhar and maydh are probably the most historic cities in SL including quljeed.
Don't we have the technology to repair and restore ancient buildings yet? i would rebuild them exactly how they looked like when they were first built and innovate some new designs.
