What does the future hold for Jubaland?

Jubaland, lead by reer galbeed, holds the now powerful position of Somali prime ministership. Their ascendance will be a game changer in Somali politics and will cause a lot of anger.

I believe it was the late president Sharmaarke that said reer galbeed are Somalis but not citizens of Somalia. With this prime ministership that claim has been laid to dust. One interesting thing about my reer upti is their political saviness, they played puntland like a fiddle and pushed HSM into power.

Over the next 10 years i expect:
1. Jubaland will develop a land corridor to Kenya and Ethiopia. Causing an influx in international capital.
2. The safety of the region will induce educated/financially strong galbeed populace to entrench themselves in JL.
3. They will clinch a presidency.
4. Their region will be the first to extract oil enmasse.


A somalia led by reer galbeed will be one that understands its global context and not just its local clannish view.

Nah Deni is being criticised publicly by Faroole/Sharmarke etc. This has gone beyond CBB and many can see Deni spent 10s of millions on Presidential run and didn’t even deliver a Reer PL PM which has upset many PLers.

He is a wounded man. With Karaash lashing out, Diyano family acting as if they own the place, AJ sowing the seeds of his impeachment he needs to get a grip.

But Xamze is already universally opposed by reer northernMudug and many reer Bari. I can only imagine how difficult it is for the @Thegoodshepherd to hold back on criticizing Xamze

I am not worried about Glamudug being given North Mudug for two reasons:

1. Galmudug was created to be a Hawiye federal state. Adding North Mudug to it would make it majority Darood.
2. Even if its claim to all pf Mudug was recognized by the federal gov, Galmudug will never have the ability to got to war with North Mudug as it is too small and too divided.

No one in the central government is interested in Puntland’s disputes with GM & SL. They know that getting involved in these issues would result in the breakup of the central gov.

A puntland plus N&N block would be quiet unstoppable. However Deni has no time to form new political blocks, He will be removed by the next election for his fauilures.
