What does bacon taste like?

Weird question I know but I always hear gaalos going on and on about how good it is so for those who have had it what is it like? Is it overrated?

it is overrated. they make this big deal about it. a lot of times non-Muslims make a big deal about pork just because Muslims don't eat it. no one is missing out on anything.

to the extent that bacon tastes good- it's because it's fried! just make turkey bacon instead if you want. fried anything tastes good. but pork is not some special especially delicious meat, not at all. I never miss pork, I don't care about it and I probably wouldn't eat it even if it was halal. pork is disgusting. pigs are filthy.

anyways, it's like if I have a glass of water and I pretend my water is some sort of super special water and say it's so great...... and maybe you fall for it and start thinking it's some special water.... but if you really drink it, it's just ordinary water. I'm telling you- pork is not some special meat and no one is missing out.

I don't think anyone who considers becoming Muslim truly has an issue with giving up pork.... I've seen someone have trouble giving up alcohol... but in spite of what some anti-Islam people say... I don't think anyone genuinely has hesitation just because of pork.

I've never had it, but Bacon looks it tastes how it looks, tangy and rubbery like jerky. Pork in general looks like it can only served undercooked, I've never seen well-done or burnt pork, it's always pink
