What do you think about Somalis who always talk about being Somali?

I went on YouTube and I notice a very weird trend about Somali youtubers or media influencers. All they talk about is being Somali. Like YouTube videos about “Life as a Somali” “Somali tries mukbang” “Talk Somali for 1 hour challenge”, I mean come on there gotta be more depth to you as an individual. It’s not just youtubers Somali musicians in English. It’s usually “Say Wallahis” that have never been to the motherland and can’t even speak Somali. Are they trying to compensate for being alien from their culture or something? I’ve noticed this from other groups as well but Somalis take the cake.

The Somali brand is hot at the moment. Put somali in the title and you get views. I've seen indians and arabs jumping on the boats, they eating good.

Same thing with "Christian reacts to Islam" channels.

The answer to your question somali equals views. Views equal money.

Tell me one viral video of a Somali Youtuber. The Christian reacts to Islam videos are not my thing but they’re at least entertaining. Someone said Koreans do the same thing but Koreans have KPop they have international influence. Only Somalia watch videos about Somali. I think LiL Basto is the Somali guy with the most views and he never reached a million.
