What do you guys think about Ethiopia exporting oil from the Somali region in two months?

Do they have the infrastructure in place for the drilling of oil and the refinery? I don’t believe this at all.

It obviously had to be approved by the somali regions federal head. As long as the revenue goes to the somali galbeedians in full and it benefits them and their land, then thats a win

They could be just exporting crude, unrefined oil
The question is if they built a pipeline

Ofc im not. Im being realistic as galbeed is unfortunately occupied by ethiopia. If any other region gets revenue then thats fucked up tbh. They have to get their money in full without the interference of abiy ahmed and his cabinet.

i want the somali region to prosper and for them to be the blueprint of infrastructure, building and education within ethiopia using their own money and their own natural resources

The Somali region doesn't even have the freedom to choose its own leader. So obviously puppets signed this agreement who knows if the Somali region will even get to see a penny of it.

There will be revenue sharing always is when it comes to natural resources federal government of Ethiopia will take their share without a doubt most likely the lions share

Cagjar is a Solid leader in my opinion he really developed the region compared to what it used to be he’s more pro Somali then iley and those before him

inshallah this deal is clean and no corruption is involved with it. We can only pray. And inshallah they get a big chunk of money along with it. The region is prosperous and probably the wealthiest out of all the ethiopian states

Pipelines take years to develop and the risk from the cia and mi6 blowing it up alongside killing he petroleum engineers are too high for the Chinese to risk building it. They’ll be exporting it by trucks at a rate <50k barrels per day and even then it won’t be cost effective to export compared to the rest of the world. Driving all the way to Djibouti from south eastern Ogaden is like driving from Ukraine to Belgium.

This is a gas project located in Calub, near Kebri Dehar not an oil project. It is being developed by the Chinese, howver not sure if this will be completed in even one year from now.
