Dad was into import and export. He has his friends and his siblings working in middle East so they would take care of the business over there and he would take care of selling it in the motherland.

Mum was a student and ran a shop before dad married her.

My dad was a musician and my mum was a housewife.

We were middle class with a house and 3 cars.

They both originally came from Calanleey part of Kismaayo.
