Yeah it’s Southern in origin and its traditionally done by people in the South.However the dress is always worn at weddings even if the bride isn’t form the south it’s an extra dress lol.


It’s a big thing.It’s traditionally done after 7 days of marriage however nowadays it’s done on the same night as the wedding.

My good friend is reer banaadir and I got to see a shaash saar for the first time at her wedding. Lovely custom

Caano Shub I think is probably a general Somali coronation custom I've heard of it for Xawaadle who had their new Ugaas crowned last week as well as other clans.

Well somali clans shares everything but the guy said dhulbahante did it first
