I think I understand where you are coming from, after the civil war Saudi style of Islam was introduced to our people and many things in Somali culture where alienated by the new ideology.. I believe in Islam as our ancestors practiced it, where the religion was not used to suppress and control people.. And if someone commit sins it's between the individual and God..

I'm no supporter of the lbtq shit, I believe Islamic values should be promoted in a peaceful manner in an democratic country where the state only takes care of the state matters and doesn't control or infringing into the individual citizens private life or freedom. I don't want an extreme sharia based state that dictates what to wear and how to think and imposes harsh sanctions on the citizens.

Let me give you examples, forcing women to wear niqab for instance, policing the youth publicly and whipping people etc.. The state is not a baby sitter and the citizens are not small kids who need the state to make every decision for them, you understand now?
