The ones that are somali cultured tend to have fob/gen 1 somali parents. But Millenials and zoomers can barely speak somali themselves in addition to being westernised and likely will not be able to teach it to their kids. Basically them marrying out is a fast track to assimilation men or women.
This whole argument that somali women produce somali cultured kids does not apply to this upcoming generation of folks getting married.

I agree. Xalimos are more Westernized than Farahs too. If they marry out their kids will barely even be somali.

I'm not sure why they asked. On average, the outmarriage rate is low. I have seen far more Ajnabi Muslims marry out than Somalis, and that appears to be substantiated.

How about this: instead of projecting and assuming, ask the 'individual' Somali what they think? As they are not a monolith, There are some Somalis who are a hard No and have not even talked to anyone outside their ethnic community and never will. Others are a No but have dated ajnabis as placeholders. Others are closer to maybes and have flirted with the idea, and some are definitely yes.

Somalis do mix with others. The cadcads & Bantus of Southern Somalia are living proof of it. Both populations carry substantial Somali admixture
