Reading on this topic I don’t come across any Somali references or even evidence but looking back at their features and their body build and language I believe Somalis afar oromo hararis sidamas and other Cushitic people were once 1 people filling Egypt speaking 1 language. We are all E1b1b1. And the history books show that the anchient Egyptians were driven out of their land in a war and they relocated somewhere else. Some say Eritrea and than from their expanded all the way to Kenya And the Horn of Africa. What do you y’all think. @Farm @PuntiteQueen @DR OSMAN @kickz @FBIsomalia @Diaspora ambassador @Crow @Boqor Quark Boqor Cisman @halwa @Bohol @Tukraq @Tucking_Fypo

No, the Kingdom of Kush was quite recent (750 BCE - 350 CE), recent as in the sense of looking at it from a big history perspective..

Proto-Cushites existed around 7,000-5,000 years ago (around 4,000 BCE).

The same racial block in fact the Kermans where Cushitic speakers and are pretty much the same racially as their north east African cousins And the language of the Kingdom of Kush is still unknown they too were Cushites

The region of northern somalia was known as the kingdom of punt. It is where egyptians claim to have originated.

@Reer-Bari its recorded by herodetus in his histories that there were some 240k ancient egyptian warriors who deserted their post after they had feud with the pharoah(psameticus). Herodotus wrote that they wandered all the way south even beyond meroe of kush. They settled 2 months journey from meroe, which is about 1000km journey. This would place them somewhere around northern ethiopia region. Personally i believe that the afar are those deserters. Judging by location, and the afar's very pharonic appearance and culture.

Also consider that they occupy the northern ethiopia/southern eretria region that the asmach deserters were said to have settled.

"From this city you will make a journey by water of equal distance with that by which you came from Elephantine to the capital city of Ethiopia, and you will come to the land of the Deserters. These Deserters are called Asmach, which signifies, in our language, those who stand on the left hand of the king. These once, to the number of two hundred and forty thousand Egyptians of fighting age, revolted and joined themselves to the Ethiopians. The reason was this: — In the reign of Psammetichus there were garrisons posted at Elephantine on the side of Ethiopia, at Daphnae of Pelusium on the side of Arabia and Assyria, and at Marea on the side of Libya. And still in my time the Persians hold these posts as they were held in the days of Psammetichus; there are Persian guards at Elephantineβ and at Daphnae. Now the Egyptians had been on guard for three years, and none came to relieve them; so taking counsel and making common cause, they revolted from Psammetichus and went to Ethiopia. Psammetichus heard of it and pursued after them; and when he overtook them he besought them with many words not to desert the gods of their fathers and their children and wives. Then one of them, so the story goes, said, pointing to his manly part, Rawlinson p46H & WFor as far as a distance of four months' travel, then, by land and water, there is knowledge of the Nile, besides the part of it that is in Egypt. So many months, as reckoning shows, lasts the journey from Elephantine to the country of the Deserters aforesaid. The river flows from the west and the sun's setting. Beyond this none has clear knowledge to declare; for all that country is desert, by reason of heat

That's quite interesting but then u also assume that Afars made up the story of their origins since they settled in the horn...

The region of punt is identified with modern day northern Somalia , Djibouti and Eritrea. Punt traded with Egypt but It was never part of it. On the other hand the kingdom of kush included only modern day northern Sudan and maybe part of Eritrea.
We are in some way related to ancient Egypt and kush but we are not the same people
The people of punt are probably the ancestors of many horn African peoples such as Somalis, oromos, afars, amhara and tigray( semitic ethios are cushites who switched to a semitic language) so we can't really say they were Somali.
There is no evidence of Somalis existing as a distinct ethnic group during Egyptian times.
Somalis probably formed in the early stages of the middleages (6th-7th century) but the first mention of Somalis is from Ethiopian chronicles during the adal-ethio wars (16th century).

There is still disputes on the matter.
Historians aren't sure that nubia was actually cushitic.
According to some theories kushites were afroasiatic cushitic speaking peoples who lived side by side with nilosaharians, 3th-4th century nubians adopted old nubian which is a nilosaharian language with some cushitic influence
