Were it not for the fear of Allah, when he entered my presence I would spit in his face

Habibah Bint Sahl was the first woman to seek a divorce during the time of the Prophet scw She was married to Thabit ibn Qays.

Ibn Majah reported the narration of 'Amr bin Shu'aib, on this father's authority, from his grandfather:
"Thabit bin Qais was very unattractive and his wife said, 'Were it not for the fear of Allah, when he entered my presence I would spit in his face.'"

Reewin. Lixda Gobol ee Maayland unii leh!
ive never understood why people dislike others because of their physical appearance. You can find someone unnactractive but to want to spit in their face for being unnatractive is brazy.

i like how the sheikh talked about how the prophet didn't try to talk the wife out of the divorce. A lot of imams in the community got this problem of trying to pressure the woman to continue the marriage.

People see the sahaba in some light where they are not normal people, the sahaba were normal everyday people with struggles preferences likes and dislikes wordly aspiration like the rest of us, the difference was there sinceirty in their heart and love for the religion and purity meant they did things with such iman we can never reach, but they were still people.
its ok to be religious but not like certain things, even if it may seem irreligious to many people

Recently , you were offended when someone said people with divorced parents should be with someone like them so they don't destroy other intact homes. But here you are spreading your divorce agenda as if it's not already high enough. Do you now understand why women like you need to be avoided? Then Somali women make weird claims like there not being any good Somali men when they are wisely staying away from such toxic women. Why would a good man want you who is unloyal, unappreciative and will get bored of a man being in the house?

Stay on topic this sahabiyat found her husband so unattractive that she wanted to spit on him. Do you support ugly men being spit on or having the dignity of being divorce and remarrying someone who can tolerate their face?
