Some people have principles. It's difficult for people like you who have no concept of a soul to understand.

No women can make their choice. "Misogyny", not "my". You need a dictionary before you talk to me. And that is not a gendered comment. I would say the same to any illiterate fresh man.

We have great logic in the traditions of humanity. When we deviate from these traditions we find anomie, worthlessness, alienation. Our cultural evolution was always in response to environmental stimuli. Reform was typically slow, gradual and incremental. This is positive change. You are following in the pattern of acting without humility towards our traditions, in the effort to follow goals that are illusory. I suppose it is easier to emotionally dismiss traditional human culture than ask why it developed in the way that it did.

I think it's a choice for a woman to make, not us men. It's better that you don't wear it as if you do then it is freely chosen, and perhaps someone who is weaker than you and wearing it resentfully will feel that she doesn't have to.

I think that it's a shame that they feel they have to do that. They might feel pressure to wear it, but we hardly live in an "honour" culture where people go reckless if girls don't follow exactly as they are told to. I know girls who practice across a full spectrum of what it means to practice Islam; and girls who have gone their own way and live their own lives. No one is going after the later trying to force them to be part of our community. Atheism is good in this way, it is a purification of religion as it removes the people who shouldn't be in it. When I go on umrah I sometimes wish another 95% of the world's muslims would jump ship too. But then this lot wouldn't feel so special. I hope at least another consequence of this is that the money given to those criticising Islam might decrease. Market forces will, inshallah, make it a less lucrative career when so many are doing it.

Wearing something that a 7th century warlord ordered on the premises/belief that men are naturally barbaric rapists, kinda like him.
The categories in which you think ("stupid" speech, "ridicule"), show that you have little depth to your thinking. You know in argument it is our responsibility to construct the best possible version of the view we oppose. This is the principle of charity. We follow this so that we know when we have refuted an argument, we have refuted a strong version of it. It is the act of someone who is intellectually confident. You on the other hand, assume yourself to be more intelligent than the great minds of human history who believed in theistic positions and advocated for traditional culture. For your own sake, reflect on their views, it will make your own critique stronger; and prevent you from making a fool of yourself.
I don't get the correlation between wearing a hijab and being religious. There could very well be a niqabi who gets trains ran in her and is that biggest whereas a non-hijabi could be very religious.
