Arabian tents and Somali cariish cannot be compared. Certain aspects of Somali culture we should just completely get rid of.

The old traditional nomadic Somali tents before the current dhaqanguur and loss of culture were beautiful, they were carefully made from fine material in some areas known as Xariir (it is not silk though) and other materials.

The current tents you see with random clothes and huudhayd piled up in an ugly way is not traditional at all and people used to insult each other if someone set up an ugly tent. The same way that English people might judge someone by the state of their front lawn and garden.
