I have wanted to discuss in politcs or fkd section that future somali politics will vastly differ from what we see today because of how different the growth rates are for different clans.
Clans that are more urbanised, educated will have fewer children then those who are not. This could even change politics between subclans.
Our population will not go into decline but there will be a split as I highlighted above. It may go down from 9/8/7 to like 5 or 4 maybe 3, but still much higher than the West where 1 or max 2 is the norm.
Anything above 2 (3, 4), the population will continue to grow.

Without doubt, the poor and rural will have a higher population than the urbanised and relatively economically stable. Even some Xalimos back home who have a decent level of education do not want too many children and they tend to marry later decreasing the fertility rate.

Somalia has a lot of land and doesn't have actual, inescapable climactic issues like Scandinavian countries that freeze over every winter and are inappropriate for large scale agriculture. If we restore enough of the desertified lands to greenery with regenerative agriculture techniques and the sorts of projects China has been applying where they've managed to forest as much land as 2 times the size of California, we can more than support 50 million or more, I'd wager. But all of that would take a lot of governmental competence, unity and lacag which Somalis currently sorely lack.@anonimo @Guddoomiye
I think 10 million is the optimal number for Somalia. Maybe max 15 million, which it is fast approaching.
But I fear by the time I am a boomer/retiree the country will have 40-50 million people.
Sadly you can't build a wealthy country with that many people and the few resources Somalia has.

I reckon it will become a more class orientated society; the haves and the have nots. Qabil will become secondary to money apart from being used as a political rallying cry. Poor people generally put less obstacles towards breeding in most urban societies. Thus, those lower down the socio-economical ladder will have a higher population growth. When I talk to folk back home in the South and the diaspora returnees, two groups appear to be growing the fastest. 1M1V will be a reality check for some. How do you envision this disparity will play out?
You will be fine bro with your crypto millions. I am confident in your ability to secure prime land in New Zealand next to the doomsday elite.@anonimo @Guddoomiye

somalia 12-15? huh nigga we're 16 mil while somali galbeed 12 and nfd 3 that makes us 30 milSomalis in Ethiopia are now considered to be over 10 million in population.
Somalia is between 12 to 15 million.
I would be surprised if Kenya had more than 3 million Somalis.
Then add another million for other diaspora.
Somalia is a Malthusian trap, it is being kept above famine levels only by donations from the international community. Somalia can’t feed more than 9-10 million people also.@anonimo @Guddoomiye

We are langaab now but Inshallah we are laandhere in the future! We are joining the big boy league
Little math now so Somalias population is now at 16,5 million people ( likely undercounted but lets stick to it). In Ethiopia, we are 6% of the population. As of now ethiopias population is 117 million people which makes the Somali portion about 7 million ( likely undercounted too but lets stick to it). In Kenya there is 2,78 million maryooleys but lets round it up to 3 mil due to undercount again. All in all there is 26.5 million geeljires running around, a measly amount.
With the current growth and fertility rate there will be twice as much geeljires in 20 yearsMore fanaxs, more farodheers, more discussions regarding mehr, relationships and our geopolitical identity ( race ). Im ecstatic, can’t wait for this.
This is just in 20 years time, imagine furtherOf course an increase in number will cause problems for us, but honestly, it will not be something unbeatable. The more the merrier my friends.
@Shimbiris @Apollo @anonimo @Aurelian what are your thoughts about this situation, personally Im excited kkkk
