The only person defending Al Shabab is you. The FGS is mostly made up of Al shabab yet here you are defending them as usual.

No doubt there are sympathizers in the government that must be rooted out, thats how the mayor died.

But how are you denying the charcoal financing Madoobe facilitates for Shabaab?

Stop defending Al Shabaab.

I don't care if they have a peace treaty with Kismayo because of the Charcoal trade Kenya helps with.
Let's not pretend that Mogadishu businesses doesn't have a peace treaty with Al Shabaab. The small few who refuse to fund evil terrorism are repeatedly targeted until they break.
But those who don’t pay tax to al-Shabab often pay dearly in other ways. One of Mogadishu’s staunchest opponents of al-Shabab’s tax is Gurey Haji Hassan, the owner of what was once the Makka al-Mukarama Hotel, a busy place filled with Mogadishu power brokers on the city’s central thoroughfare.

For years, Hassan had openly expressed his views against paying. And every year since 2013, his hotel was bombed or attacked by al-Shabab. He rebuilt it each time. But after the last attack, in March, in which 25 people were killed, and another at a different hotel the previous November, in which the owner was killed, he has given up on the hotel business but not his convictions.
And the charcoal trade is nothing compared to Al Shabaab's Mogadishu revenues.
While armed conflict besets much of the country, Beileh’s ministry and al-Shabab now compete over the most basic function of governance: to collect revenue and provide services. The government brings in almost $200 million per year, and although al-Shabab takes in only a small fraction of that, it collects from a broader base of businesses. That base now includes the seaport, the government’s most lucrative source of income.
Without Mogadishu, they would be a merely a shadow of what they currently are.

That's what I love about PL and what @TekNiKo hates about PL. Wa 'dad midaysan' in PL. They operate like a community with a single command center. Even if Bosaso has disunity, mar walbo waxaa kor ka joggo 'reer puntland' we go in there and sort it out and are their last point of command center. That's why they can't Infiltrate into PL. Even if one town becomes 'disunited' in PL, mar walbo waxaa kor joggo Puntland community who will go in there and sort the mess out and unite it again. Bosaso was always controlled by 'PUNTLANDERS' because iyagu ma tashan karan, marka waa loo tashada, ceeb ma aha, and they actually allow this arrangement or else BOSASO WUD BE NO DIFFERENT TO HAMAR today. That's why hamar hadu tashan karin, ha uu dhiibo taladisa reer puntland. It's not a bad thing at all.

Bosaso is controlled from Garowe. Garowe is epicenter of Puntland leadership and 'go'an' so there is no point infilitrating galkacyo or bosaso, since they rely on PL capital to make it's decisions for them, Puntland decision making isn't made in Galkacyo and Bosaso, this is what these fools in south don't understand, they think we are like them where each city controls itself. It's not like that. PL is the government, it is the decision maker for all cities and towns inside it's borders. This is the rule. It provides a protection blanket against disunity in any city with their 'go'an and decision making' in Garowe. Kheyre tried to sneak in like a 'moryan' into Galkacyo north thinking meeshu waa sida koonfurta oo 10 meel laga 'go'amiyo'. Dumb ass h2tus

The problem with Xamar isn't as easy Puntland.

I notice areas in Somalia where one qabiil is a large majority have a lot more nabad than areas with a coalition of qabiils.

PL waxa ka socda danta Majerteen.
SL waxa ka socda danta Isaaq
GG areas altho lacking in federal governance is relatively safe because one qabiil HG are a majority there

Laakin Xamar waxa ku nool a collection of tribes. Everyone thinks of his own interest...In Xamar it's me over the collective.

Abgaal v HG
Muursade v Abgaal/HG
Raxanweyn flooding the city
Sheikhaal keep to themselves
Cadcad want money and filim hindi
Madow just busy looking for food to put on his table

Meeshaas mabda malahan.

But you forget the southern population clans are far poorer also and less armed. This is the region that UNSOM burnt all their weapons and why HG walked in and took over quickly as they had stash of weapons in galgaduud. PL clans are highly independent, hal meel iskuma soo aruran which shows you they can't tolerate it each other because they can stand alone, take care of their security at sub clan levels. The south maybe diverse but be honest they are 'maskin' clans 80% of them. So why would their be trouble is beyond me, it's not the north oo dad waalan wada jogga. The bravest soldiers live in SSC the famous darwish. Try livin next door to them and HG at the same time. You don't know nothing waryaa. We live next to the HG in their strong-hold, you don't in the south, their migrants an small pockets of population of them and u still can't handle them. Imagine we add Dhulbahante to another side for you, wallahi you would be crying. That's why MJ are strong as hell, hasn't lost an inch of land to shisheeye clans.

@Sakiin your argument of one area being one clan results in peaceful co-existence is clearly rubbish, why is HG divided and hasn't achieved a single unified administration in the history of Habar gedir in galgaduud? Why is Dhulbahante divided and killing each other, they are the same clan.

Your analysis that multi-tribal regions are more ripe for division is quickly debunked by these facts. In-fact you would expect more division in PL since they are economically better of sub clan wise and do not need each other and have 'historical' beef against each other that spans centuries internally.

The only thing holding Majerten together is the fact if they break down into sub-clans they get swallowed up by Hawiye or Isaaq who don't have any intentions of resurrecting a Somali state anyways so it's not in our interest to be swallowed up by them, since they ain't taking us to NO paradise.
