The result is clear to see with parliament and number of idiots who have positions due to only clan and nepotism. The discourse also went down drain with every random camel herder with 2nd grade education entering into political fray and getting worked up thinking they have answers

Djibouti way ahead of Somalia imo, they have a govt at least with law and order. They also get a bunch of investment from abroad. Their main downside is land is a barren hellhole so they in survival mode

Very true. But how can we put put back order? I’m semi trolling but changing language creates a barrier that will eliminate a lot of these folks. You can fake degrees and schooling but can’t fake knowing language will be very obvious u don’t speak it

regarding the OP, its a classic case of correlation does not equal causation. Which is funny since the people youre complaining about suffer from this too. I will admit, its a good hypothesis. But if you examine it more. It literally makes no sense, then how are other countries who speak in their own language successful (Every other country in the world). Why would promoting literacy in the mother tongue lead to a failed government, thats because it dosent.

Plus, youre complaining about something approved under siad. How would not creating a mother tongue script prevent qabilist doqomo into office post civil war. This is across the board in large parts of the world. Politics, higher education, media was a lot more elitist in the 40s, 50s, 60s. Either you were part of the 'aristocracy' or tried your best at mimicking them ie in the way they dressed, spoke, enjoyed their leisure. The world seems like a more 'casual' place now.

Somalia needs a lifetime Head of State, but while still having elections. Africans can't handle Presidentialism.
