This negro. Every Somali that worked in colonial civil service spoke fluent Somali, Arabic, Italian and had diaries. Abdullahi Yusuf and Siyaad Barre could speak 5 languages with fluency.
Aden Adde was the smartest and most correct leader, in that he had the best vision. However, he did not even get a primary school education, as we did not have a proper education system pre-WWI. Therefore, he is the least educated, but it was not his fault, you simply needed to be rich to go to school before 1920.
Siyaad Barre and everyone younger than him benefited from the colonial education system that allowed them to finish secondary school and study overseas. Abdirashid Sharmarke had a bachelors from Sapienza, which is one of the best in the world for humanities.
Lets be honnest most of them were dumbfucks the only good presidents somalia had was the first 2 presidents and siad barre first 10 years. And after that you had bunch of amateurs

*hsm never lived in u.s.a , after graduating from india with masters he lived in Mogadishu during the civil war helping adults and children with trauma in the city .
One of the most under appreciated things hes done and our future leaders will thank him for was building the Simad university from scratch in 1999 while mogadishu was in chaos ,we can see how the university he build with his own hands is doing right now . We went from an educated man like HSM to a spoiled reer baadiyo who lived in the u.s for 30+ years and is ironically against democracy leading Somalia.
