Updates on day XXIII:
- It was a quiet day on the front with both sides reassessing the damages, strategies, and positioning for next round of action.
- SL side in negotiations:
a) With M Biixi as to how best exit Gooja Cadde with their weapons, and
b) With SSC Commanders & Garaado for a safe exit route.
- SSC Alliance continues receiving reinforcements in manpower, gear, intel, sustenance, medical supplies etc.
- So does SL forces, albeit limited, as all routes in and out of Sool are being monitored.
- On the SSC side, Commanders are repositioning fresh reinforcements and arrivals on the front for a showdown. The main strategy is to secure Gooja Cadde with all weapons acquired, and with minimum damage.
- Next few days are crucial.
Here is a mock map of where things stand to date - Gooja Cadde is dark circle in the middle with SSC forces closing in on it from all directions.
If you recall, our resident SL general @TimaJilic shared a map not so long ago. Compare and contrast the two for posterity, if you will.
