Updates on day XIX:
- Negotiations to disarm ina Cambaashe failed on Fri. He requested an extension to organise himself, but this was a ploy.
- On Sat., just before noon, ina Cambaashe, with small units of Galbeedi boys, attacked the city, from the western front.
- It took small units of SSC militias to sack ina Cambaashe's Guulwade base. Heavy weapons incl. tanks, technicals in the 20s, and large stash of small arms acquired.
- Casualties on both sides.
- SSC militia now occupies western front. This was the main supply route for SL militias, and he their man on the ground.
The positioning:
a) SSC front:
Thus far, SSC militias' primary strategy, albeit larger in number, if less in organisation, and weaponry, has been to defend Las Anod whilst holding defences, and awaiting reinforcement for a full assault, which is in its final stage. The goal is to hold ground, and not initiate attacks, with the exception of sporadic encounters to unsettle the other side, till preparations have been finalised. Thus far, they have been successful. Encouraged, if operating under severe conditions, yet gaining momentum by the day.
b) SL front:
SL's militia, small in number, but organised, with heavy weaponry, if demoralised, and deprived of late, have a single strategy to sack Las Anod before reinforcements have arrived, but thus far have been unsuccessful. Weakened, and bleeding at all fronts.
By the time SSC militias have put final touches to the plan, it is very likely Biixi & Co. will have declared another unconditional cease fire, if shrewd, but I remain doubtful, and voluntarily pulled back to Oog to save face,
