WAR: Currently Ethiopia is spending $1billion on its military.

Somalia is barely spending $100 million, if that.

hypothetically, In the next year, if Ethiopia invades Somalia, what will Somalis in the diaspora do?

looking at the Palestinian situation, its not like the Ethiopia is any different than the people who committed genocide in somali-somali wars, do we protest? do we blame clans elders? do we sit by and let it burn? or do we take flights to somalia?

tbh, i don't own anything in Somalia, i don't talk to anyone in Somalia, and if i went i'm pretty sure i would get murdered in Somalia. As a sovereign people, i would feel upset at losing my sovereignty but outside of that, would anything change for us in the diaspora? what would yall do?

Simply better.
They'll probably make protests in the countries they are in and try to rally support, and even if that happens, the International Community will be on our side since there is no disputed land in Somalia proper and Ethiopia will face sanctions that will cripple their economy, so I don't think we have to worry for now.

Ethiopia can roll in virtually unopposed if their objective is limited. But they can't hold territory if the plan to annex land. The insurgency would be insane, good chance it collapses the Ethiopian state.

And tbh, why even annex Somalia? Trying to integrate an ethnoreligious homogenous 20m people with the world highest fertility is like swallowing poison. Ethiopia is more scared of Somalis than the other way around.

I mean, if you look at the UN they will stand by and let Somalis die like the Palestinians, i think the "illusion of justice" has been lifted and people are conscious to the uselessness of the UN.

WSLF would start again + Oromos, Afar, Tigrayans and Eritreans. UN and Europe/US would be very pissed that Ethiopia is beating up an extremely fragile Somalia. AS would bomb Addis in the hopes of gaining support

Completely two different situations. Plus Ethiopia is unlikely to invade anytime soon, they have their hands full with their internal problems and are militarizing on the Eritrean border.

Palestinians were under the thumb of Jews, who are very protected and influential people, and the land was "disputed." If Ethiopia attacked us, there would be no leeway for justification.

Ethiopia would get sanctions, it's frowned upon to invade countries in the modern day(unless you're a western country).

if any somali land is attacked im heading back to defend somalis. Im not going to watch and see everything crumble infront my eyes. No somali should. It might sound corny but what other option do i have.

We just lifted the arms embargo, give us time

i lowkey think the UN lifted the arms embargo because they know Ethiopia is looking to annex territory to get ocean access. my conspiracy theory gut is telling me that UN wants to flood somalia with debt, while it tries to defend itself, than pass that debt onto ethiopia (if they win the war) or make somalia debt slaves in the long run.

in my opinion, the UN doesnt care unless they benefit and them lifting this embargo means they can profit...

what would any of yall do if ethiopia invaded? would yall go back like the Israelis? lol or stay behind and protest like the Palestinians?

If they wanted a piece of the mainland they had 30 yrs without a recognised authority in the country. They couldn't hold Xamar when the fighting was being done only by one clan + some patriots and that was us using mounted Toyotas and aks.

Why would they try now when the embargo is lifted? Btw read about the 77 war when the SNA retreated and they wanted to cross over the border. There were countries who were ready to join the war on our behalf.
