Who’s capable of formulating a definition between the differences of waan ogahay and waan aqaanaa. Both reflect the verb to know

I caught a youngster saying afsomali waan ogahay and I corrected him and said it’s afsomali waan aqaanaa. I couldn’t formulate the precise difference and when to use each aside that it just feels weird incorrectly.

Wouldn’t you say Qofkii sameeyay waan ogahay instead of ninkii samayeey waan ogahay? Since you aren’t referring to a male or female? Qofkii is a more neutral noun in that case.
