My great grandmother's name was derived from the colour bright/white and her name was Xayaabo. She was very light skinned. Our Somali is limited today but Somalis have many words for different colours.

As far as I know it's an Arabic word maybe it was borrowed from Arabic or maybe it's an afro Asiatic word but I think it's the first one
