AUN. They ain’t coming back. I feel sorry for the parents as I long suspected they were used in the Tigray war despite the many denials.

I would also add most of the people taken were from Sanaag and Gedo given Farmaajo wanted to use them as a loyal hit squad. He was aware he couldn’t trust any HAG boys.

Ive mentioned before there are 2 boys on my reer abti side over there. They're alive and well but its difficult they say. I'm pretty sure a large majority are non hiraab hawiye and smaller darood clans.

No dictator can imprison a population forever.
Damn. R.I.P to them, they were 100% used as cannon fodder. Farmajo is a piece of garbage and should be charged for this

Delusional thinking in this thread, a few died in training/natural causes and was confirmed by the previous government.

This is no new news and is TPLF propaganda.

They're grasping at straws. This story has been debunked so many times I'm surprised it keeps coming up.

So they died due to natural causes like being killed in the battlefield.

Farmaajo hate has fried your brain if you actually think this is a clever dunk. From Harun Maruf himself:

Villa Somalia [spokesperson] reported that “some” of the Somali soldiers trained in Eritrea died for natural causes, and some during training. This confirms my reporting in August 2021 that number of soldiers died: One died for diarrhoea, one got electrocuted, another drowned in a lake.
The previous Somali government only admitted the death of one soldier. Some of the soldiers who deserted reported three deaths, others 7. Here is the report from back in August last year.
Based on my reporting, the number of Somali soldiers sent to Eritrea is 5,167. They were trained in three camps, and there is no evidence, so far, that any of the Somali soldiers trained in Eritrea ever set foot in Tigray.
