In Somali culture it is considered disrespectful to eat like that in public, usually due to it being associated with greed. This is why sharing is also emphasized when eating.

The poor thing this sort of behaviour is probably considered normal where she is from, but unacceptable in most western countries due to their long battle with hygiene. The British have had to live through the black death, the great stink and still do not wipe their backsides to this day. But hygiene in public places is taken very seriously.

This is why people should be culturally sensitive and aware of their surroundings. She might be on the spectrum as most Indians despite their cultural norm would adjust their behaviour accordingly.
