Very dissapointed in Somali Regions

U wont find in any City in all Somali regions(dont care what Land u call urself) skyscrapers or atleast above average infrastructure

Are we destined to fail? Were our ancestors also losers?

Where did it go wrong with the Somalis?

Sounds lackluster, but remember that by 2050 Somalis will be the largest ethnic group in Kenya and Ethiopia will either become a Muslim-majority democracy or it'll balkanize, both very positive outcomes. Somalis will have the most net positives out of any ethnic group in East Africa in the next 28 years.

Greater somalia is maybe 2 quarters tropical with plenty of rivers an a land mass greater than nigeria with a tenth of the population. Sun, sea, sand, food. Given everything but squandered.

My ancestors should have went to either ethiopias or kenyas highlands, instead my awoowes choosed to stay in the dry Somalia. This is why I say oromos are the most succesful cushitic group, guys abandoned their dry place in Northern Kenya and invaded the lush, green mountains of Ethiopia.

Nah, we should avoid skyscrapers and developing car dependent hellscapes with giant parking lots everywhere. Xamar even used to have a policy of some sort before the civil war of not constructing buildings over a certain height like 6 storeys or so. Walkable, cobbled cities with all the amenities of life available in each neighborhood with an emphasis on building things to encourage communal living. Be more like the Netherlands, not America and the UAE.



Build the cities to resemble the old white-washed coastal towns that used to be built by Gabooye masons, cobble them and create attractions that are more about our and the rest of the Horn's unique culture rather than glitz and glamor and modern artificial nonsense like in Dubai.

Skyscrapers are hideous, soulless, cold and dangerous. Look at how many Somali millionaires there are who have built high rises in Kenya and look at the poverty that surrounds it. A real sign of success is how the average person lives. That should be the focus.

Deserts are the superior biome, it’s the easiest and most stable life, if you have rain captureing systems and managed wells for your date palm orchards you uses for carbs to avert hunger and even feed laborers, military, etcs ; camels and small ruminates dairy production and flesh for your protein

All the “food” that grows in tropical and warm climates are low quality anyways that are either deficient in essential amino acids pseudo protein like beans lentils pulses etc

vegetables you have to break your back every year to grow that are not even mineral or ash rich as date or milk

also hot weather gives cows heat strokes only climate nearly as good as deserts are cold and highlands as they can grow grains like wheat, barley; and cattle produce more milk

Defense wise we’re way more safe and secure Alhamdulilah that’s why Gaalo are all over the south and the north can control its migrants
