Venezuela has trillions of barrel of oil and produce 3million barrels a day!

They have extreme crazy socialism views = everybody suffer equally.

Simpletons automatically draw the conclusion that it is the fault of socialism and totally negate the other local factors at play.

The Venezuela situation is a lot more complex and nuanced than ''Herp Derp Socialism Durr''.

Let me guess it's all the US' fault another communist shithole has imploded because of bad governance.

30% all oil is located in venezuela.

I really think that western countries will develop other source of energy like clean bio fuels.

Addiction to oil will decrease every year.

The world is not black and white. Things are more nuanced and nothing happens inside a vacuum. Otherwise, Somalia should be used as an example of the failure of laissez-faire capitalism and libertarianism.:camby:

Incompetent government strikes again.

Also don't forget how they completely destroyed any semblance of a private sector by confiscating their own citizens businesses once it had become large enough to become profitable. No one wants to invest when there is a substantial risk of your investment disappearing

The economy did pretty well over the past 25+ years, in fact much better than during the dictatorship.

Several other indicators have improved too. The left column is during the dictatorship and the right column is after.

How can Somalia be an example of free market capitalism when there isn't a government to guarantee and uphold property rights? Somalia is an example of what communism after 40 years looks like.

Cheap oil will be bang for your buck.

Affordability is everything. I can fill my gas tank much affordable price.

Somalia doesnt have oil and if they do its to late. Clean water processing and providing is the future.

This is my biggest fear, that Somalia will never utilize its oil reservoir :meleshame:

I can see my villa got solar pannels and clean running water in my farmland.

:rejoice:

To use those technologies you will need a good education system (operate the tech) and have low crime rates (equipment is expensive).

f*ck, Somalia may be fucked forever.

With oil it is a lot easier to get rich while the population remains dumb and cope w/ high crime. Like Gabon and Angola.

We basicly live in parliamentary dictatorship anybody can bribe our MPs and buy his way in to the office.

I doubt that there ever will be one man one vote type of democracy.

Direct democracy 2020
