Being abused by your father doesn't make you become a drug addict
Of course you can become a drug addict after being abused, that's one of the leading causes.
People use drugs and Alcohol to self-medicate and 'forget'.
Your taking away self-responsiblity of a person, noone forced them to become a drug addict, they became a drug addict because they chose to take the drugs and continue to you use it.
Only excuse is if you were forced to do drugs as a child which alot of children are
I didn't take away the responsibility, I said that abuse can lead to drug abuse.
Also, a lot of these people don't have Islam/Allah to guide them and they don't know to find treatment and solace in prayer. So, to treat their mental anguish and torment, maybe they would turn to the bottle/drugs.
Post said "which made her a drug addict", I was simply correcting that statement, I am not disagreeing with you, trauma can make drug addiction more severe.
Sometimes even if you pray people still take drugs and drink because they are addicted and they do not feel prayer is helping them aswell. Drugs and alchohol are a seperate issue that needs to be treated
