Using Birth Control to deal with acne?

Have any of you done this? What was your experience , Retinol is expensive and is far too strong for minor cases of acne what have you used if anything ?

i’ve never used it but i know a lot of girls who used it and their skin remained really clear
except you gain a bit of weight and your metabolism might slow down

Also I'm not a fan of the whole mood swings cause of the pills. My friends legit would turn into cry babies and become super sensitive

it doesn’t really work like that for everyone tho
it also regulates your period and makes it lighter so i’d go for it

I’ve been thinking of taking birth control to stop my period. My parents are not open to the idea though. They can’t wrap their minds around birth control being used for any purpose other than sex. I haven’t researched the side-effects enough though. I’m going to look into it more.

Not a good idea, birth controls don't stop your period they just make them less heavy. The side effects of using birth control in this manner is quite dangerous. I was SP with this thread don't do it it will leave you incapable of having kids in the future and cause some complications later on. If you have any issues with your periods being too heavy or painful go to your doctor there are other ways to deal with it.

As far as I’m concerned there is only one real use for birth control
And it’s in the name
