Let's be honest, the only reason SL is being brought up at this time is to become a dumping ground for refugees from Gaza and soon the West Bank, and they're dangling what you've always wanted in your face as a collateral. Prominent pro-israel lobbyists aren't shilling for this enclave because of minerals, be foreal. Don't delude yourselves any further. Your only choice for recognition is to accept being second class citizens in your own land when millions of Palestinians are relocated to Hargeisa and Burco. Even then it is unlikely that the UN and AU will recognize SL as an independent state. At best it would be an official diplomatic relationship with the US and Israel.
