She’s one of you larping as Isaaq. To many of your kind have been caught online larping as us. Any online Isaaq with unionist tendencies is automatically a Jabarti troll
You were a unionist for months after your autistic elderly uncle lost the SL presidential election. By your own munaafaq logic, you are a jabarti troll. You couldn't be dumber if you tried.

"Yes, China, as one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, has the power to veto resolutions related to the recognition of new countries. This power allows China to prevent any resolution from being passed
, regardless of the level of support it has from other UN members.

Here's why and how:

UN Security Council Veto Power:
The UN Charter grants the five permanent members (P5: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) the power to veto any "substantive" resolution, meaning decisions on matters other than procedure.
Admission of New Members:
Resolutions on the admission of new member states to the UN are considered substantive matters, making them subject to the veto power of any of the P5.
China's Vetoes:
China has, on occasion, used its veto power in the Security Council, including situations related to the recognition of new countries or the participation of Taiwan in international bodies according to the US Institute of Peace. For example, China has vetoed resolutions related to extending the mandate of UN missions in countries that recognized Taiwan, according to GOV.UK.
Impact of Veto:
A single veto from any of the P5 can block a resolution, regardless of the overall support for it. This means that even if a large majority of UN members support recognizing a new country, China could still prevent the UN from taking action on it."

It's safe to assume from the above that after the stunt pulled by SL vis a vis Taiwan, SL will not be receiving recognition anytime soon.

@Araabi while I think that the fact that China/Russia will veto admission of Somaliland to the UN, like they have in the other UDI case that is Kosovo, it is the fact that Woqooyi is severely fractured on the question of secession that is the biggest obstacle imo.

Take a look at these results for the independence referendums of Eritrea in 1993 and South Sudan in 2011. Both were conducted under UN observation and were certified to be free and fair.

Muslims and Christians, Tigre and Tigray all voted to secede in Eritrea. Unanimous.
Dinka and Nuer both voted to secede from Sudan. Unanimous.
Even in Kosovo, most countries that accepted its UDI did so because it is ~90% Albanian and they are unanimous in them wanting secession.

This is before we get to the legal fact that 33 MPs elected by the people of Somaliland in Feb 1960, willingly and without any compulsion chose to join Italian Somaliland "forever" on June 27th 1960. How does some meeting of unelected ragtag militiamen and unelected clan leaders 31 years later in Burco annul what those 33 democratically elected MPs decreed?

The US will not touch this with a ten foot pole.

There's no government in Somalia, you keep hallucinating Somalia is not a UN project.

Somaliland returning to it's 1960 borders is inevitable. Then Italian Somaliland can focus on it's problems. Isolated communited in eastern Somaliland won't stop reality imposing itself.
