This Catriona woman began her visits first talking about PL’s preparedness for ‘talks with the FGS’ and then at the UN summit saying Laascaanood was a crisis and put the blame on Somaliland. She also said NCC and election agreements needed ‘political consensus’ and response to it was ‘mixed’.


2 days ago in her Galmudug visit she was taught a lesson about NCC and state building process Somalia is engaged in. How far along Galmudug is in the process of 1m1v local elections across every district next year as detailed in the NCC agreements.

She then was belatedly allowed to visit Somaliland on the conditions she corrected her language about the Laascaanood situation. First you can see this in her meeting with the Somaliland Envoy. You can see she uses the correct map of Somaliland with its legal borders in tact. And puts no blame on SL. While focusing on the Somaliland Somalia talks progress which should not be distracted by Laascaanood.
