You write like an early 19th century aristocratic gentlemen. β€˜Demure’? β€˜Paramour’? Young man, you were born in the wrong era and class. You were clearly better suited to be the son of an English Duke of 1815 not a modern 2024 Somali.

Ah the pitiful of modern courting. It’s an uncivilized jungle out there and the sensitive and straightforward amongst both genders will be impacted by the hordes of savages that are selfish and cutthroat.

As the poster said, don’t ghost. Women do it to, so please ladies, don’t ghost as well. One poster @empressjamila made a fantastic point. The stakes are low in online dating, which makes some people behave like narcs or have a gloves of attitude in which anything goes.

But what a lot of Somalis forget is that many of us despite being online and not knowing the person, are literally one or two degrees apart from each other. During my single courting days, I’ve got to know men who were, whilst strangers to me, where men known by some of my friends, people that I knew or family, but they were none the wiser. I’ve even come across people whose family ended up being very well know by own family whose parents were friends of my parents. Maybe I was just lucky in that regard but it was trippy indeed.

Hence, my overall point is, young men, behave and guard your rep. In my past, I’ve spoken to people who I personally might not have got along with but still recommend to girls who asked about him since he conducted himself as a gentlemen. Even online, some girls know girls you’ve spoken to or people you know very well.
