Also if the civil war hadn’t erupted I’m confident the language issue would be resolved and more would have opened. Plus there were also technical and vocational schools and graduates were guaranteed jobs. No one had to pay tuition and campus housing was free.

Unis in Somalia are a scam that’s why young people are desperate to be educated anywhere else.

False pride won’t change anything.
Majority of the faculty was Somali from various regions.

Somali kids are going abroad to India and Bangladesh just to get basic degrees. There’s really no comparison.

Of course Universities are a scam in Somalia nobody believe they produce competent students able to complete in the 21st century. Badhan university does not even function lol I was there myself and it is nowhere near lafoole but in terms of infrastructure or education level

For the first 30 years after independence there were only 2 universities established, both located in Mogadishu. The next 30 years had universities established in almost every city. Really shows which era has been more productive lol

Somalia was a city state in reality before 91. Everything small and big was located in Xamar. The rest of the country is doing far better in terms of development compared to then. Its why we all suffered when the gov collapsed.
