We, as in Somalia, should prioritize at becoming as self-reliant as possible. In a second step, trade with other countries on the continent, for supplies we aren't capable of.

I don't think we should move on, from being dependent on Russia/Ukraine to North America, besides what we ourselves can't produce. Just unnecessary hassle, that in the end, gives the same results.
Tbh, anything is possible in Africa without outsiders, if there is will.

I totally agree, Ukraine is the soon to be hot potato of the EU and US and we should base ourselves far away. We could use Russia to help our region’s industrialize.
