Ukraine/Kiev was essential to the founding of the Rus/Russia.
The slavic race is very young, Ukrainians and Russians are much closer than any two groups in the horn.

But ethiopia as a state was an Amhara mediaeval creation. The only tribe in ethiopia that has a claim as direct descendants to Axum are the Tigrayans. Amhara were still pagan southern ethio semite tribes paying tribute at the time of King ezana. It's just Amhara have made up a lot about history and managed to link their state to Axum and then to Aethopia/Sudan by their name change.

It’s true that the North Ethiosemetic are the actual descendants of Aksum, but my overall point is that you can’t use shared history from centuries ago as a reason to invade a sovereign nation. It was the same logic TPLF used under Meles

Russia is an imperialist nation, and just like all other imperialist nations they want to expand without caring for the sovereignty of their neighboring countries. Imo it shouldn’t matter if Ukrainians and Russia have a shared origin, today they’re different people and it’s clear that Ukrainians want their own country

Ukrainian sovereignty should be respected, Russia signed the Minsk Agreements and should follow what they agreed to
