Public perception is based on actual contribution, Brits watch football made up of Jamaican players, they then eat at Jamaican restaurants, every Brit I know has had jerk chicken before to the point where even cadans are appropriating it, they even holiday there. Jamaican culture has had a bigger impact on British culture than the whole of Africa has. Public opinion has been proven to be divorced from statistical reality many times on different issues. Jamaicans fill up prisons and have left a trail of single white mothers all over the UK. So how useful can they really be.
