After visiting UK I have concluded the reason Somali Americans perceive Britain as miserable is because they don’t understand British humor or realism.

And are uncomfortable with the lack of optimism and positivity. The U.S is a place where every customer service is smiling (not by choice) and have to start conversation. This bleeds into every day life thus more accustomed to it.
